our Neverland
Thought it was unreal,
just another bed-time story, to make me go to sleep easily
who would believe in fairies anyway?
«They're not for real, silly girl» once a grown-up told me, when i tried to explain how to ressurrect Tinky, as i clapped my hands
and that was it...fairies were just fantasy.
then i met you...and your lost-boy sight, your tricky smile and your loud laughter.
everytime you laughed, hundreds of bells tinkled
and in your eyes, thousands of stars would shine brighter.
'But fairies were not real
and so weren't you', i thought.
that was all i believed in until you first kissed me.
once in a while i would ask you about your dreams...
you would never tell me.

'til this one night, when all lights were faded...
you came closer to me...you lit a candle
and sat on the floor, with your legs crossed
then you started to tell me the most beautiful story
i had ever heard since i was only a child.
you told me about the place where dreams come from,
from which nobody did ever return...
for it is so perfect nobody would ever wanted to return.
«Neverland», you said it was called.
(i'll never forget)
you described it as i thought paradise would look like
and i asked you if you had ever been there...
you remained silent for some time
then you stood on your feet and pulled me against you
«Do you want me to show you Neverland?», you asked
«...can you?», i whispered
(Close your eyes...)
Thank you for taking me to Neverland that night.
Thank you for still taking me there everytime i ask you.
